Just when surround sound was being introduced companys were scrambling to get product out, that doesnt explain no branding, but I also believe it was Polk Audio who also provided small unbranded speakers for the rear channels. Perhaps someone can correct me on this?In any case I bench tested using a signal generator down as low as 50 cycles and it performed fine. It requires a fairly high powered amp. This is a sub so a low frequency amplified siganal is required, dont connect R & L speaker out to it. There were a number of surround receivers that had front, rear and subwoofer outputs, not line out, but speaker level out to a sub.
