The tonearm on this table is loose and is bent badly, this would be a great candidate for a tonearm swap as the motor runs without issue, speed control knob is missing. The left corners will need some wood glue and clamping. Veneer isn’t in the best condition. Let me know if there are any questions

Classic Turntable Thorens TD 160B mk ll Rega RB300 Tone Arm Goldring 1012XG HiFi. Classic turntable has a great sound. Recently refurbished. Rega RB300 carbon fibre tonearm and arm board. Expensive and great sounding Goldring 1012XG stylus and cart - Unknown playing hours but sound is well detailed and crisp in our tests. Sound deadening applied to the main mounting plate, floating platform, and motor housing to reduce vibration. 12mm mdf attached to floating platform to reduce vibration. New springs. New drive belt. 3D printed replacement lid hinges. Showing some signs of use - but nothing more than you would expect a classic turntable to show. A great classic turntable which, when set up correctly (as with all turntables) it sounds amazing. Sad to let it go but in need of the space as have upgraded. It is fitted with an Audio Technica Moving Coil cartridge, so you will need an MC stage, or simply change it for something else.. A few minor marks , the worst being a small scratch to the black paint infront of the platter. There is no lid or hinges included. Lovely thing of beauty, really, and so simple in construction. PLEASE NOTE THE OBSERVATION FROM A KNOWLEDGEABLE EBAYER WHO POINTS OUT THAT THIS IS A 50HZ MOTOR PULLEY, AND THAT MEANS A NEW PULLEY WOULD BE REQUIRED FOR THE TURNTABLE TO RUN IN THE USA. THORENS TD 160 turntable, located in Spain. Dust cover missing. Screws and feet absent from base panel, which is loose. The walnut wood is in good condition, as is the top panel (good metal) and other components, both visible and under the hood. Cosmetic deterioration of the speed and arm lift controls (see photos). I tried this out at 33 and 45 and it switches on fine and the speeds looked approximately right, even with the old belt. Arm lift switch works well. Tried to connect to my Sansui amplifier and play something, but got a strong hum from the lack of ground wire. However, this seems to be something encountered by many who buy this, and there seem to be easy solutions to the problem. The stylus is old, I would guess, so I have no idea if that and the cartridge and head are still working fine, because I couldnt play a record because of the earth hum. Selling as is, without any further investigation. Looks like a little work will have this working well in no time, and a good restoration will give you something worth the price these are fetching. So, no guarantees that youll be able to play records straight away, but this does not seem to have any important problems. And it really is a lovely thing to take care of. Any customs duties are the buyers concern.
