Obwohl ich sonst immer bei UKW Empfangsprobleme hatte. Bei diesem Gerät nicht. Optisch sieht es aus wie neu mit einer Einschränkung. Auf der Rückseite ist die untere Ecke beschädigt. Tandberg TR220 stereo tuner/amplifier FM receiver in very good condition. The TR220 was manufactured between 1975-1978 and is wider than other Tandberg receivers - the extra space allowed it to form the basis of a Tandberg music centre (TR220G) incorporating a Dual record deck. The version with additional cassette deck was the TR220GC. In the TR220, the extra space in the chassis enabled Tandberg to fit an extra large power capacitor (see internal pic). There is a moving magnet phono stage with additional inputs for aux and tape. The condition very neat, inside and out. The teak sleeve is in excellent condition. The FM-only radio tunes well and is easy to use, with four presets. The signal strength meter works perfectly but the centre tuning meter is stuck in the centre position (an exact replacement is available from RS Online). Ive been running it into modern, high-end speakers and it sounds excellent. One photo is the listing from the Tandberg 1976 catalogue (not included in this auction) and the final two pictures are a contemporary review from Hi-Fi Choice Receivers. This TR220 comes with the original Manual and rare carton and internal polystyrene clamshell packaging. It will be sent out double-boxed and insured.

I’m a great fan of Tandberg receivers but Household Management has decreed that I have rather a lot of them, so it’s time for this one to go. The TR220 was manufactured by Tandberg of Norway between 1975-1978 and was the smallest in their range. It’s a wide unit (565 mm wide and 105 mm high) so it’s more sleek and Scandinavian-looking than the Japanese alternatives. It’s wider than other Tandberg receivers because the extra space and stronger chassis allowed this model to form the basis for a Tandberg music centre (known as the TR220G), which also incorporated a Dual record deck and, optionally, a cassette deck (TR220GC). In this FM-only version, the extra space in the chassis enabled Tandberg to fit an extra large power capacitor (see internal pic). As was standard, there is a moving magnet phono stage fitted for using a turntable, with additional inputs for aux and an input/output for tape or cassette recorder with 3-head monitoring. The condition very neat and clean, inside and out. The teak sleeve is in excellent condition. The rear panel looks a little blank but that was to allow for additional fittings for the music centre version. The receiver tunes well and is very easy to use, with four presets. The signal strength meter works perfectly but the centre tuning meter seems to be stuck in the centre position. Otherwise everything lights up as it should. The sound is very clean and pleasant and this is a nice example of one of their smaller receivers. It has an output of 17 watts per channel but pair it with good, efficient speakers (eg Tandberg’s own) and it is an excellent basis for a high quality vintage system. All connections are via DIN sockets, including the loudspeakers. These are actually good connectors (Naim certainly used to think so) and plugs or adaptors are readily available on eBay or from Amazon. The aerial is a standard 75 ? socket. I’ve added a photo of the 1976 catalogue entry (the catalogue isn’t included in this auction) and the final two pictures are the review from Hi-Fi Choice Receivers from the same year. This TR220 comes with the (very rare) original carton with internal polystyrene clamshell packaging and the original Instruction Manual (not a copy).
