The right and left channels ohm out properly and work as they should – I could not find a single scratch on the cartridge. The cartridge cantilever/stylus needs replacing! The Sumiko Blue Point cartridge is a warm & mellow sounding – very dynamic – separation is most excellent - nice tight natural sounding bass [not boomy at all] – Highs are very crisp yet never sounding metallic or artificial. The sound stage is really where this cartridge shines. While listening with one’s eyes closed, you actually hear not only stereo but a distinct three dimensional sound stage where the musicians and singers are positioned as in a concert. The sound quality of this cartridge is absolutely fantastic! Up for sale is this Sumiko Blue Point No.2 MC phono cartridge. I am selling this cartridge because I have too many cartridges and I rather have this one go to a good home where it will get plenty of use. The sound of this cartridge is great. The cantilever has a tiny bent to the left. You should be able to see a picture of this on this post. However, this does not affect the sound. It always plays great without any distortion. This cartridge should work on any stereo receiver that has a MM (moving magnet) input but I recommend having a phono preamp that has an MC switch. I will ship this cartridge within the United States only. This cartridge is as-is. No returns. Thank you.

HiFiChoice: Weighing in at 8.3g, the EVO III is the most affordable Sumiko offering to utilise an ultra-low resonance open generator design. This features a resonance-controlled mounting plate in order to offer the lowest possible mechanical impedance. My observations: Hard to put into words, but a rock album played on this cartridge seemed to have more life than others I have owned in the same price range. Full orchestra classical sounded bigger with better instrument placement. Jazz simply more involving and exciting. Ships insured to the 48 contiguous states.
