Die Maschine wurde auf BASF LPR35 eingemessen und arbeitet zuverlässig.Die Tonköpfe sind in gutem Zustand.Das Gehäuse besteht aus Birkensperrholz (Multiplex) und wurde durch einen Meistertischler gefertigt; das reine Technikchassis passt saugend in dieses Unikat-Gehäuse; für die Luftzirkulation der Technik, insbesondere der Röhren wurde gesorgt. Alle Röhren sind in einwandfreiem Zustand, ggf. wurden Röhren gegen Original-Typen getauscht.Die Papiermembrane des Lautsprechers wurden durch speziellen Lautsprecherstoff vor Mottenfras geschützt.Das Gehäuse wurde auf geringstens mögliche Außenmaße konstruiert: Tiefe: 21.7 cm, Breite: 38 cm, Höhe 31,2 cm; die Gesamttiefe inklusive der Tonkopfabdeckung beträgt 27 cm.Um eine Handhabung ohne störende Griffe zu gewährleisten wurden die Griffmulden in die seitlichen Technikfenster eingefräst, so das dass Gehäuses in seiner zeitlosen Optik auch ästhetischen Aspekten genügt. Der Revox G36 sollte nach dem Einschalten genügend Zeit gelassen werden, um warm zu werden; sie klingt nach einer halben Stunde hörbar besser.
