Hi and thanks for looking! This is an estate sale find that needs to get to the right person. Sonic Frontiers Line 1 preamp in good condition. This preamp does work in that all inputs and outputs have been tested and it sounds wonderful. The bad: There is a problem with the front panel buttons and controls in that sometimes they work and sometimes they dont. This may be an easy fix for the right person. The GOOD news is that ALL buttons and functions are on the remote control and all work perfectly when using the remote. So the issue is probably dirty switches or a bad connection? Just guessing as I have NO IDEA. But if youre lazy and dont get up to adjust the stereo anyway, then this may just be a match made in heaven. Lol. It does sound excellent and is in good condition. Please look at all pictures carefully. This tube preamp is being sold as is, needing some work, with no warranty and no returns. It will be professionally packed to arrive alive and guaranteed to power up as seen in the pictures. Sonic Frontiers SFL-1 Pre amplifier Very rare. Amazing transparent sound. Have not used in several years. Own a classic.

Sonic Frontiers Line 1 Special Edition Valve Preamplifier. Owned by me since new and factory upgraded to Special Edition specification. 220/240V. The unit was used for about 150 hours after the upgrade and then carefully stored when I moved home. The unit has just been serviced and tested and with an upgrade to resistors in the power supply by a professional audio HiFi engineer ( Receipt available). The amplifier and puck remote control are absolutely unmarked and work perfectly. A superb sounding high end amplifier complete with original packing and owners manual. I would prefer that the amplifier was collected or that any purchaser arranges collection by their own carrier.

NO RESERVE AUCTION - Sonic Frontiers Line 2 tube preamp This was a Stereophile recommended component back in the late Nineties and is one of our all time favorite tube preamp. Stacked with six 6922 tubes inside, it was every tube rollers delight. Just swapping out the tubes can bring you to another level of gratification. This unit was kept in storage for more than 15 years and only recently saw the light of the day after it was taken out from its box. It powers up fine and all the controls seem to work and communicated with the puck remote well. But we could not get any sound out of it. Previous owner didnt want to fork out the dough to have it checked out so it is being SOLD AS-IS FOR PARTS OR REPAIR. If you disagree with the T&C, pls do not bid. Unit looks good for its age with the usual minor scuff marks common with use. The umbilical cord has some frailing of the nylon sheath towards the end of the cable/plug but its cosmetic and has no impact on operation of the unit. Top casing cover came from the DAC 3 because the previous owner mistakenly swapped them when he sold the DAC 3. But casing fits fine except the vent is in the wrong position and two of the side screw holes cannot be screwed in. Unit will be securely packed for safe shipping.
