Here is a unique boombox that not only is designed to play records but the previous owner added bluetooth to it. The radio works well with a missing antenna. Bluetooth works by choosing the AUX function and turning it on with an installed switch on the back cover. Select KRC-86B to find it on your phone, turn up the volume on it and thats it. A light will come on next to the Power light when its on. It sounds good thru this old radio. The tape deck works except the sound is through the left speaker only. The turntable makes noise when turned on but it doesnt rotate. It has some scratches and wear but based on the condition its sold as you see it with no returns or warranty.

There have been many components replaced at a cost of 260. Invoice included. Complete with manual (printed). A couple of the sliders have been replaced with 3D printed versions. Noticeably lower quality cosmetically than the originals but still do a good a job as the originals. New belts, sound chips, list goes on and on. Turntable sounds amazing. All sliders, switches and dials operate smoothly and freely. Everything operates as well as when it first left the manufacturer. Undoubtedly the best example out there at the minute. Hi here I have my old mans Sharp VZ-2000E Vintage 80s Boombox - Cassette, Radio, Turntable/Record Player. Use to love using this as a kid just been It has been stored in my spare bedroom for many years my old man bought this fromNew and was given to me and is in partly working condition. Powers up the VU meters working all the lights are working all the buttons are there no broken power button which is a common problem. Hopefully someone can bring it back to its former glory. CASE: the outer shell has a few marks and scratches as too Be expected with a 40 year old bit of kit. No cracks or broken bits of plastic. But overall very nice looking both speakers and tweets are still working perfectly. No blown or broken speakers. The battery compartment is clean and no corrosion I haven’t tried it on the D batteries as not got any too hand but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work, I bought some replacements sliders a good few years ago 4 of them need attaching properly by taking the case off which I never got round to doing but still usable as is I also have some more replacement sliders which I didn’t need which I’ll add to Sale in case any more snap off. CASSETTE: the cassette deck still works perfectly well. The tape counter belt needs replacing apart from that in perfect working order but as with any old cassette decks the belts could go at any time. TUNER: radio works and tuner works perfectly fine same as the tape deck. The Ariel doesn’t extend but still working could be easily replaced but depending on your reception in your area will work fine as is. RECORD/TURNTABLE: the turntable needs new belts for both the motor which you can hear is still working when powered up, but with no belts attached so doesn’t do anything and for the belts to make the styluses move also probably need changing to bring it back to working use. Both styluses are there and don’t need changing. The door opens perfectly without having to pull it open like others I’ve seen. The inside is clean and not Grimey check the pictures I tried to keep as much dust out the machine as possible over the years. POSTAGE: this boom box is super heavy it’s not the type of boom box your going to be carrying around on your shoulder lol. It’s 16.5KG. I expect it will be 35.00£ to ship through parcel-force will be well packed up if shipped. You can also do cash on collection in person as well after the auction is over and see it working before taking it on whichever is easiest for you. Thanks for looking!
