This VHS player will only automatically play VHS cassettes that have the record protection mechanism (small tab) on the front of cassette removed. But VHS cassettes with it still attached, will not auto-play. No other buttons on the VHS player work, such as the play, stop, rewind/fast forward etc as the electrical is most likely missing on that section. The buttons that function are: Power on/off and eject. This video player does not include the remote control or scart lead, but the power lead is included. The condition of the Panasonic video player is acceptable considering its age. It has lots of scratches, mainly on the top, a few deep, it has some ware in different areas. Faulty spares/repair Panasonic NV-SD220 VHS Video Player/Recorder Faulty Panasonic NV-SD220 VHS Video player. This VHS player will only automatically play VHS cassettes that have the record protection mechanism (small tab) on the front of cassette removed. But VHS cassettes with it still attached, will not auto-play. No other buttons on the VHS player work, such as the play, stop, rewind/fast forward etc as the electrical is most likely missing on that section. The buttons that function are: Power on/off and eject. This video player does not include the remote control or scart lead, but the power lead is included. The condition of the Panasonic video player is acceptable considering its age. It has lots of scratches, mainly on the top, a few deep, it has some ware in different areas.
