I am selling my Nitty Gritty 1.5fi record cleaning machine, which I no longer need. I bought it new and used it for about 2 years. The cleaning fluid I used had a rather high alcohol content which caused a leak in the pumps inner reservoir. Therefore, I removed that reservoir, since I preferred to manually apply the fluid anyway. The buyer may choose to replace the reservoir or use it manually. The rotating motor and the vacuum work well.

Nitty Gritty Vinyl / Record Cleaner Model 1.5 in excellent working condition. I bought this as a new item from Nitty Gritty in 2008 as a blemished unit. But I never saw any blemishes on it. It is a 1.5 model which is fully automatic for the scrubbing and vacuum cycle but you do need to manually put on the cleaning fluid which is a normal action for all Nitty Gritty record cleaning machines. The Cleaning fluid can be self made with distilled water, alcohol and a tiny amount of mild detergent. I use a high proof vodka, not isopropyl alcohol but its your choice. I can send you the formula for this once you purchase the unit if interested. Or you can purchase pre-made record cleaner from an Audio store or Nitty Gritty. The tray that slides under the unit with the purpose to catch any excess fluids during the cleaning cycle is not included. (I lost it) In my opinion it is not needed. I have NEVER had any excess fluid come out when cleaning records. One can be acquired from Nitty Gritty for $18 plus shipping or you can make your own at home if you wish one. Included is original box and a new unopened pack of rubber parts that turn the record in case the existing one gets used up. Original Owners manual included. I rarely used this unit. Perhaps less than 45 times at the most. The brushes and pads are in very good condition. This unit retails for over $1000.00 today. Thank you.

NITTY GRITTY LP RECORD CLEANING MACHINE. MODEL 1.5 Fi / SERIAL # 25363 / MADE IN USA THE UNIT IS IN GOOD USED CONDITION AND ALL FUNCTIONS WORK WELL. EXCEPT FOR THE FLUID PUMP WHICH LEAKED AFTER AWHILE SO I REMOVED IT. I USED THE CUBBY HOLE FOR STORAGE OF OTHER CLEANING ACCESSORIES. THE SCREWS ON THE BOTTOM WERE LOOSE AND SMALL SO I REPLACED THEM WITH SOME BETTER SCREWS TO HOLD THE BOTTOM. THE BOTTOM PANEL DOES HAVE SOME STAINING WHERE THE PUMPED LEAKED. THE VAC-SWEEP PAD IS NEW, THESE CAN BE TRICKEY TO INSTALL AND IT IS HARD TO GET IT EXACTLY RIGHT, THEY DONT STICK TO WELL WITH THE PROVIDED TAPE (AT LEAST FOR ME). IF YOU ARE A TINKERER YOU CAN TWEAK THE UNIT TO HOW YOU LIKE IT. I WILL INCLUDE THREE CAPSTAN REPLACEMENTS SO YOU CAN PUT ON A NEW ONE IF YOU WISH, THEY LAST A LONG TIME. INCLUDES THE BOTTOM DRAIN TRAY. THE WOOD IS NICE NO SCRATCHES. I WILL INCLUDE THE ORIGINAL OWNERS MANUAL FROM WHEN I BOUGHT IT.
