Basta premere record e la registrazione inizierà simultaneamente. Una volta regolati il ??bilanciamento del canale e il livello massimo di registrazione, è possibile creare dissolvenze omogenee fino al livello massimo e fino al silenzio premendo il lato destro o sinistro della barra Master Fader. Un singolo tocco avvia una dissolvenza di 6 secondi; tieni premuta la barra e crei una dissolvenza di 2 secondi - automaticamente! Il bias ottimale spesso differisce leggermente tra le varie marche di nastro anche tra quelli che sono nominalmente dello stesso tipo. Poiché il bias influisce sulle caratteristiche di registrazione (specialmente alle alte frequenze) e quindi potrebbe impedire le migliori prestazioni, lLX-5 dispone di un controllo Bias Fine Tuning per ottenere una risposta ottimale con ogni nastro. Collega lLX-5 a un normale timer elettrico e puoi fare in modo che il registratore ti svegli con la musica al mattino, si spenga da solo quando vai a riposare, persino registri una trasmissione FM da non perdere mentre sei via! Ogni volta che si preme linterruttore di silenziamento della registrazione, il nastro continua a muoversi ma non vengono registrate nuove informazioni. Con Record Mute puoi cancellare il materiale indesiderato, modificare gli annunci non necessari durante la registrazione e creare sezioni vuote del nastro ogni volta che lo desideri. Ciascuno dei due indicatori elettronici del livello di registrazione copre una gamma eccezionalmente ampia per comprendere le dinamiche del materiale dei programmi moderni. I 16 segmenti LED in ciascun canale forniscono uneccellente risoluzione e rispondono con precisione al livello di registrazione di picco anche durante brevi transitori. LLX-5 è dotato di un avanzato contatore elettronico bidirezionale del nastro che conta fino a 9999 quando il nastro si muove in avanti e fino a -999 in riavvolgimento.
