Bought this to go between my DAC preamp and my power amp. However I’ve upgraded my amplifier and no longer have RCA input connections so I no longer require this. I personally changed out all the caps with audiophile and low-esr upgraded caps and changed the cheap Chinese tubes to a matched pair of NOS tubes. The unit sounds absolutely fabulous. Best way to add analog warmth to digital sources.

Musical Fidelity A3 CR Preamplifier w/ Remote Manual and Box Fully Tested and found one issueREAD I used this preamplifier with a complete set of A series equipment which did not include a SACD player so I never knew there was an very low hum on right when using this input. I put nice plugs in to remind you as pictured. I tested all other inputs and outputs and found NO issues. I also checked the MM/MC phono switch. The only issue with this unit is the SACD input. I have the amplifiers and Tuner listed separately. Please ask any questions you may have. Tutti i 3 componenti, sono stati controllati da non oltre una settimana da un famoso tecnico e progettista della mia zona e posso garantire il loro. PERFETTO FUNZIONAMENTO. Esteticamente sono come da foto, direi abbastanza intonsi, tenuti con assoluto rispetto. N.B. Works but faulty connection on the one of the outputs

Musical Fidelity A1 FBP Fully Balanced Preamplifier, with original boxes, remote control, power connector and mains lead. Comes as 2 components - the power supply unit and the pre-amp funtioning box. Phono input swithable between MM and MC. Aux input and Balanced Input 1 can be switched to HT which bypasses the volume control (assumes the volume will be controlled by your home theatre system). The USB input dates the unit but otherwise it performs very well. I bought it as a stand in while my usual preamp was in for repairs that took some time (some parts nolonger available) and kept it because I thought I might want the convenience of the remote. However, Im getting grief for the number of remotes and the number of spare boxes in the house so the collection needs to be reduced. Happy to demonstrate the item and cash on collection welcome. Delivery, with the double boxing, should be pretty secure, but a packed weight of 14kg plus insurance makes it costly. Any question or photos needed please ask.
