This unit is tested and working. The disc tray is responsive and moves smoothly, but sometimes is finicky and needs to be pressed twice. Overall, this is an excellent example of an early CD player from the 80s (stamped September 1989) that has survived in working condition. It is rare to see digital electronics come from Europe during this (or any) time period!! I dont know if I can rightfully call it a collectors item, but its been years since Ive seen one like it, and may be quite a while before another comes along.
