Dafür stürzte die Software der Geräte gelegentlich ab. Und dann probierte ich auf Empfehlung den Majik aus … und konnte es kaum glauben. Ich hätte nicht gedacht, dass man aus Nullen und Einsen einen so unglaublich schönen Klang zaubern kann. Ohne irgendwelche Softwareprobleme. Ich nutze die Linn-App zum Internetradio hören und Musik läuft über Spotify (Kenner überlesen das mit einem Kopfschütteln, bitte). Man braucht also nur ein Handy, den DS, einen Verstärker und Lautsprecher. Similar to a CD player it plugs into your existing amplifier etc via RCA phono interconnects. It requires an ethernet connection. I have used a Devolo power line extender rather than a direct wired connection and quality has been superb, providing full CD quality and better output from Tidal or Qobuz and internet radio stations. Unit is in immaculate condition and comes with a Linn remote, though I mainly use the Linn app on my phone to control it. You may also want to download Linn Konfig app to help set up system. It can be set up with a fixed volume output or variable volume through Konfig. Through my Linn Kairn LK100 and Linn Kan peakers this unit has provided an excellent sound, reminiscent but better than my old Linn Karik CD player. It will be packaged in a Linn box and will come with remote control and power cable. I do not have the original manual but believe it can all be downloaded from Linn. Up for sale is a Linn Majik DS streamer from 2008 in good condition, with the remote included. Reasonable offers accepted, shipping only to the Continental USA (60 dollars shipping to the Continental USA). Supports AirPlay, Spotify, Tidal, and Qobuz, as well as Internet Radio through a built in application called TuneIn and it even comes with its own preset stations built right in! As you can/will see in the photos, there are some scuff marks. You will need two pieces of software either for PC or Mac called Kazoo, and Kazoo Server. Kazoo controls all functions of the Linn DS, while Kazoo Server is used separately. Both are available as downloads for Mac or Windows. There is also, for iOS users, a Linn app used to control the DS from your iPhone or iPad. You will also need a hardwired ethernet connection. This is an excellent streamer, and the only reason I am selling it is because I would like something more modern and something that is a one-box solution, specifically a Lumin M1.
