This part is used, and is tested + in proper working condition. The cosmetic condition is fair to good. I would describe it as average for a part of its vintage (1978-1980). There are signs of age and use consistent with its vintage such as discoloration and/or pitting of metal parts, and minor marks such as scratches, nicks and scuffs. Vintage JVC Model L-A11 Semi-Automatic belt-drive turntable, complete, and in fully operational condition. Base (plinth) is perfect, the plexiglas dust cover is clear and essentially unmarked with no cracks, abrasions, or yellowing and only two short scratches which are hard to see (Im being picky here). A new correct belt has been fitted. Hinges are new and dust cover stays up when raised. Has Yamaha-branded Audio Technica AT-95e stereo phono cartridge with excellent diamond elliptical stylus that tracks nicely at 1.5 grams. All functions including speed control, anti-skate, and cueing controls work perfectly. The tonearm wiring has been replaced with 5N Perfect Crystal OCC tonearm wire with 1.3 gold plated terminals. The ground lead has been replaced with 16awg insulated copper wire with new terminals on both ends. All four feet are present and in great shape. Semi-automatic operation: lifting the tone arm starts platter rotation. Move the arm over the record, then lower the tone arm onto the record using the cueing control. At the end of play, the arm lifts automatically and returns to its rest, and the turntable shuts off. Will be shipped partially diassembled with the counterweight, headshell and dust cover removed and packed separately for safety.
