This sale is for the speaker stands only! Speakers are shown in the first picture to demonstrate their use. Up for sale is a pair of original KEF Reference 103/3 speaker stands. These stands are necessary for the proper use of the 103/3 speakers as they have a downward firing offer and the stands are designed with a bass port to allow the speakers to emit the bass frequencies. These are original KEF stands. They are made of particle board and are in fair but functional condition. They have been repainted with a flat black paint and show signs of wear and some swelling of the wood due to contact with water. They are not beautiful but are fully functional and from a distance the cosmetic issues are not obvious. Sale includes the 8 mounting screw for the speakers.

Up for sale is a pair of unique, high quality Vintage KEF Model 103.2 Reference Series speakers - these are handmade in England, and are quite the speakers for any audiophile. Both speakers were tested and perform very nicely, all drivers tested well. Reference Series Model 103.2 (1980-85) Model 103.2 was the successor to the highly regarded 103, and continued with the same two-way closed-box format, using an 8” bextrene coned bass driver which used the new three mounting-point chassis to allow mechanical decoupling from the cabinet. It was designed using KEF’s ‘total system design’ approach where drive units, filter networks and enclosures are studied and developed together to achieve a targeted response. The result was a loudspeaker which achieved a broad frequency response with optimum efficiency and yet a surprisingly small enclosure of just 19 litres. Consistent with all models in the Reference range, 103.2 included S-Stop protection circuitry, and all production systems benefited from KEF’s Reference methodology which matched the response of every system to within 1dB of the design reference, with each pair matched to within 0.5dB of each other.

These two Kef reference speakers are in excellent condition. Inherited from the original owner, they have been in climate controlled storage, having been recently removed from a cherished working system. Airy highs, beautiful mids, and deep bass via downward ported subwoofers. Grill cover is good condition Included is the hard to find Kef Kube, a hard-wired equalizer for bass-extension, considered mandatory for best performance by the manufacturer. These are model specific and somewhat difficult to source Can be include original stand if pick up local.

Vintage KEF T27 Type SP1032 Driver Pair - 8 Ohm Tweeter Speakers w/ Leads Attached Pulled from a working environment and rechecked with a speaker tester. Excellent condition. Cosmetically, very good exhibiting some minor wear.
