A great looking lot. I dont know which models these are from, and not been able to test any, so all sold as pictured for spares/repairs. One is clearly labelled Garrard KS 40A. The other 2 I got in the smaller box, but as they are not labelled, not sure if the model on the plastic case relates to any of them. One of hinges on the plastic storage box is snapped. This vintage (70s?) Sony hi-fi system HMK-40 with original lid belonged to my wifes father. It has record deck, tuner and cassette player and comes with two speakers. It still works subject to the defects I have listed below. A bonus is the the decks are Garrard SP25 mark 4 which is a good name and widely looked for. Apologies for some photos which are a bit shaky. They show all I thought important, including one with the radio switched on and working. I should mention 1. records play fine but only on manual. Auto doesnt seem to work unless Im missing something.2. Decks have some marks as seen but nothing detrimental to it working.3. Strange!! Records play through both speakers but the cassette needs balance knob turned to left speaker as the right one makes loud interference noise. It seems the fault is in the back of the unit rather than the speakers but why it is only when cassette plays and not records I dont know. None of the above stop the system working though. The price is fair for a collectable unit and especially with the Garrard decks. Due to weight and size it would have to be cash on collection from Castleford. Please ask if any questions
