For purchase is a pair of ESS amt3 dividing networks removed from rock monitor tower cabinets. Original Heil amt crossover pair, with new 250v capacitor upgrade. These are 3 way designed to run a Heil air motion transformer, a midrange driver, and a dual 8 ohm (or single 4 ohm) woofer compliment. The selector pots have been cleaned as well. For purchase, a gorgeous set of ESS Heil 4ohm pulp woofers and original passives. The surrounds were just replaced with open cell polyether foam, and the pulp cones are very clean. The radiators are of closed cell design, original to early ESS 12 builds with full 3/4 backings and mass weights. Unique to ONLY early ESS builds, the woofers have 2.5 voice coils wound on anodized formers, unlike every other cast framed offerings from ESS which have 2 voice coils. Also unique to this pair, the backside of the cone base employs a dampener to reduce unwanted harmonic overtones in the upper bass region. Resistance measurements are 3.47 and 3.54 respectively. The rich sonics incorporated in the original lightweight but dense pulp cones, should be considered an essential upgrade to the overall sound of your ESS speakers. Utilized in several models of amt1(x), these are drop-in ready for models such as amt1a, 1b, 1c, 1d, and amt monitor, including all bookshelf variants of those models. These are factory original pulp 12 drivers by ESS of Sacramento, removed from amt1am tower loudspeakers. These drivers were optimized for the specific dividing networks and cabinet offerings that were available during the production years of amt1a, and early amt1am monitor tower builds. Modern replacements (from ESS) are not engineered to be coupled with amt drivers, nor your existing crossover networks where applicable. No testing or sampling has been performed with the new, generic off the shelf woofer drivers provided by ESS, currently. Packing will be very stout, expect these to arrive as advertised.
