***LOCAL PICKUP ONLY*** Selling a used in excellent condition pair of b&o beolab 8000 speakers. Speakers are in really good shape and are close to mint condition. These speakers were just seviced which inlcuded a full dissasembly, thorough cleaning and removal of the old black rotted sound deadening material. This includes cleaning of old foam from chassis and mainboard/power supply unit and installation of new original white sound detoning material. This was done due to the issue that plagues many b&o speakers from this era in particular the beolab 8000s that is known as foam rot. The original foam used after many years starts to break down which can cause many problem due to its corosive nature. This can included shorting out electronics or even completely eating through the boards. This is a issue with all beolab 8000s speakers and if not done on time can severely damage your speakers internal components. Speakers have been tested and work flawlessly. The woofers have also replaced/upgraded to the mk2 version which adds a overall better low end experience. They do have a few minor scratches and imperfections that are hard to see in pictures as they are minor. The biggest cosmetic flaw is a nick on one of the speakers on the top circular section towards the back. Aside from that one of the handles on the latches is missing which does not affect functionality and cannot be seen when in use. It can still be clicked in and pull out like normal. Grills/frets are all orginal and in great shape. They have 1 or 2 very minor holes which are nearly invisible. One of the grills has a crack towards the top right but it cannot be seen when installed. Please note that there are visible gaps in the pictures around the sides and tops of the grills as they have not been clicked into place and have just been slid on.
