I bought a pair of Dynaudio Special 40s, and they are better for a small space. The Special 40s have less dynamic range than these Evoke 20s. The evokes are better for a 12 x 12 or larger room. They could easily fill a 16 x 18 room. Dont let their low sensitivity (86db) fool you, I had a 15 watt Quad tube amp driving these and they had a clean clear sound. These have a natural sound, it is not colored by too much voicing. Just fyi. These speakers are amazing. Theyre much taller than the Special 40s, and the amount of big sound they give is amazing. They have the classic Dynaudio tweeter that I love, no sharpness, no high frequency roll off. I have some large floor standers upstairs or I would use these. I have had them sitting here for 3 months because I dont really want to sell them. But tired of walking around the box. Anyway, ask questions.
