THE BEST NORMAL POSITION TAPE EVER MADE: Type I - perhaps the most variable category in terms of quality, presents a complex dilemma when trying to find the right one for all your recordings. TDK AR tape had a higher than normal coercivity, giving it a rising high end and good SOL. Then they released the AR-X version with an even better sonic performance, sometimes rivaling some chrome and metal tapes! TDK AR-X was a top of the line type I cassette. It has fantastic Bass performance (315Hz: +1.3dB) and Immense Treble (16kHz: +4.5dB). (Compare it with MA-XG 315Hz: +1.2dB and 16kHz: +3.0dB).
