These three crystals are used for USB, LSB and CW in the product detector along with a 3395 kHz 3.395 MHz crystal filter used in various Kenwood and Heathkit models. Each crystal tests within 100 Hz on my test set-up. These were bought as a set some years ago. Thanks for looking. KE5HPY #128

It sounds great! Vintage Gruen Guild 4506 AM/FM/SW1/SW Radio with extras: BFO for HAM reception and 2 x white LED dial light. At 7 MHz and in between 3.5 MHz and 4.0 MHz came in a few HAM operators in SSB mode( I turned on the BFO). Reception in SSB mode is not as good as a digital or PLL radio but I enjoy the conversations in between HAM operators. Without the built in BFO, you can not understand these HAM operators. Great vintage condition with added 2 x white LED dial light plus the original bulb. Antenna is good, original. Radio works great on all bands. HAM reception ( LSB,USB, CW) has an extra BFO oscillator. AFC switch OFF position turns on the BFO. ( AFC switch was replaced to get this function on one side of the switch and other side has the AFC function( This function checked and works good too.) The original dial light works on the original backlight switch. It is a does not stays on momentary switch. The LED backlight switch is hiding and visible in the battery compartment thru the opening. It has three position: OFF, Light on with half brightness and Light on with full brightness. Selling it as is- a very good sounding radio. I can include A4 size schematic diagram of this radio . It is located inside but you dont have to cpen the radio so I can include it free upon a request. Battery mode tested only. The earphone connector is on the bac cover.It is for mono 3.5 mm jack but works with steteo earbuds,but one side only. You need 4 x C battery. I tested it with recharge type battery only. Modified RADIOSHACK model DX399 with original box and 120/220 power adapter and pouch Modifications: + 2 White LED, brand new 40 mm 8 ohm 0.2 watt speaker. BFO for shortwave bands. New speaker, new LCD backlight Microprocessor circuit modified to accept recharge battery or a bit weaker (not alkaline) battery. Testing it every day. Radio is very pleasure to use. SSB reception is very useful. The BFO tuning edge knob on top works good, easy to use to clarify the sound in SSB modes( USB or LSB)========================================Just a note about the modifications:I have my identical radio with the same modifications and I am happy with it. Radio is very sensitive, SSB mode is very easy to use. After you set the BFO frequency on one SSB station, seldom need to re-touch it for any other station on the same band. I discovered the greatness of this very small radio one year ago by checking the service manual and the features. After that I bought one for $6 and replaced the speaker and started to use. So I created all these modifications after a longer test period. Now I sold a few repaired and modified little radio ( DX-399 and also ATS-606 ) . Buyers are happy and me too because I keep my radio and use it every day instead of other more expensive scanners, shortwave radios. Battery is good for such a long time even with the second LCD backlight LED is on all the time when radio is on.It is consuming only 2 mA.
