Die abgebildete Macke auf dem Standsockel ist nur auf dem Sockel und mit einem schwarzen Edding übermalt nicht mehr zu sehen. Dies ist im Preis bereits berücksichtigt.In der S2-Version der B&W 684 sind jeweils zwei der berühmten 13-Zoll Kevlar-Chassis verbaut, die parallel geschaltet sind. Somit ist die Box eine klassische Zwei-Wege-Box.Die 1-Zoll Aluminiumkalotte bekam bei der S2 rückwärtig ein weiter auslaufendes Volumen in Nautilus-Technologie. Der nach hinten abgestrahlte Schall kann dadurch verzerrungsfrei auslaufen. Das Modell 684 S2, aus der (älteren) 600-er Serie, charakteristisch sind hier noch die gelben Kevlar-Membranen der beiden Tiefmittel-Töner. Neu gekauft bei einem ortsansässigen Fachhändler in Frankfurt am Main im November 2019. Sehr gepflegt, keine Lautstärken-Exzesse. Klang ist B&W, einfach gut. Die Auflösung im Hochtonbereich dank „Nautilus“ „Genen“ echt superb. Bass ist kontrolliert und ein subwoofer ist niemals zwingend. Bi-Wiring Anschluss-Terminal. Farbe weiß mit Original Zubehör und OVP.
