Dieser Onkyo P-308 ist dem P-3390 identisch. Das ist nicht immer so. Unter dieser Typenbezeichnung werden Vorverstärker mit 100V Netzspannung angeboten oder wie dieser hier mit 220V. Diesen können Sie also ohne zusätzlichen Netztrafo ganz normal in Deutschland und Europa betreiben. Er hat nur ein paar zusätzliche Zulassungs- und Kennzeichnungszeichen auf der Rückseite, so dass er auch in anderen Europäischen Staaten zugelassen ist. Darüber hinaus gibt es keinerlei Unterschiede. Dieses Gerät war absolut in originalem Zustand und niemand hatte daran herumgebastelt. Leider sehe ich häufiger das Werk von Bastlern oder von sog. „Audiophilen“, die meinen, Geräte „verbessern“ zu müssen. Es werden dann abenteuerliche Dinge veranstaltet, die allesamt im günstigen Fall nutzlos sind oder sonst Verschlechterungen bringen, aber sicher immer sehr viel Geld kosten. Interessanter Weise werden aber die wichtigen und wirklich notwendigen Reparaturen und Instandsetzungen nicht vorgenommen. Ich überarbeite die Geräte so, dass sie wieder in den Neuzustand versetzt werden und dann zeigen können, was sie ursprünglich konnten und nun dann wieder für sehr lange Zeit können. Daher die Beschreibung des letzten Geräts hier: Ich versende das Gerät auch, jedoch ist mir die Abholung,der persönliche Kontakt und das Testen vor Ort immer lieber. Bei diesem Gerät „kam nichts mehr heraus“, wie der Besitzer mir sagte. Das stimmte und lag an der fehlenden negativen Versorgungsspannung „-B2“. Bevor ich ein Gerät komplett zerlege und überarbeite, wie ich das mit allen Geräten mache, bringe ich sie wieder in die Grundfunktion.Wie sich herausstellte waren die Elkos der Spannungsstabilisator-Schaltung defekt. Manch einer hätte sich damit zufriedengegeben, dass das Gerät nun wieder arbeitet. Einige sagen sogar, sie hielten nichts vom „wilden Kondensatortausch“ und argumentieren, insbesondere die Tonfrequenzelkos seien sehr hochwertig und nicht defekt und darüber hinaus für den Klang verantwortlich. Das mit dem Klang stimmt, dass sie nicht altern und kaputtgehen nicht. Ich habe viele ausgelaufene Nichichon „Muse“ Elkos gesehen. Und es gibt adäquaten Ersatz von Nichicon aus neuer Produktion. Die verwende ich. Ich habe mal ein Bild von einem A-8780 mit ausgelaufenem Muse Kondensator (C524) mit eingestellt. Das ist kein Flussmittel was da auf der Platine zu sehen ist, sondern Elektrolyt vom defekten Kondensator. Der verursachte dann auch die Fehlfunktion bei dem Gerät. Warum jemand annimmt und argumentiert, die anderen Kondensatoren seien dann noch völlig in Ordnung, wenn doch bereits Erste ausfallen und Störungen verursachen, erschließt sich mir nicht. Auch rein chemisch, physikalisch unterliegen Elkos Alterungsprozessen, sogar unabhängig ob im Gebrauch oder nicht, da beißt keine Maus den Faden ab. Und nach mehr als 30 Jahren sind die Elkos einfach defekt, auch wenn sie noch gerade so etwas Funktion haben. Alle Geräte dieses Alters werden Probleme mit den Kondensatoren bekommen. Sind die Geräte nicht aufgearbeitet, wird man nicht lange Freude daran haben. Diese Onkyo P-3390 Vorstufe gehört zu einer M-5590 Endstufe, die noch in Arbeit ist und ist optimal auf sie abgestimmt. Sie dürfte besonders für Vinyl Liebhaber interessant sein. Die technischen Daten sind sicher bekannt oder sind sonst leicht im Netz zu finden. Hier an dieser Stelle kann ich Ihnen Einblicke in das Innenleben des Geräts geben und kann versichern, dass sich die hervorragenden Eigenschaften auch durch die aufwendige Schaltung erklären lässt. Allerdings sind auch diese Geräte, wie alle Geräte dieses Alters, in die Jahre gekommen und bedürfen der Überarbeitung. Bei der P-3390 führt die Erhöhung der Netzspannung auf 230V nicht zu Problemen wie bei der Endstufe M-5590 bei den Siebkondensatoren (siehe Beschreibung dort). Hier haben die Spannungsfestigkeiten ausreichend Reserve. Aber die Kondensatoren sind natürlich inzwischen 30 Jahre alt und somit erschöpft. Unabhängig von der Betriebsstundenzahl sind alle Elektrolytkondensatoren dieses Alters inzwischen hin. Es handelt sich bei diesen Bauteilen um Elektrochemische, die auch unbelastet der Alterung unterliegen und ihre Eigenschaften derart verändern, dass sie heute nicht nur nicht korrekt arbeiten, sondern zur Gefahr werden. Im günstigen Fall laufen sie nur aus und verändern ihre elektrischen Eigenschaften massiv. Im ungünstigen Fall schlagen sie durch und verursachen weiter Schäden an ganzen Baugruppen. Sie müssen also erneuert werden. Ich weiß, es gibt viele, die unbedingt darauf schwören, es möge doch bitte alles original bleiben. Auch ich halte nichts von „Verschlimmbesserungen“. Aber an dieser Stelle müssen neue Kondensatoren her, da hilft alles nichts. Und auch an anderen Stellen hat der Zahn der Zeit genagt. Alle Geräte im Originalzustand werden früher oder später den Dienst versagen. Und bis dahinzeigen sie aufgrund alter Bauteile und anderer Schäden nur einen Bruchteil dessen, was sie eigentlich können. Oft hat das dann unbehandelt weitere Schäden am Gerät zur Folge und ganze Baugruppen werden mit zerstört. Aber zum Glück sind sie noch nachhaltig gefertigt und so lassen sich diese Geräte vollständig und perfekt wiederherstellen. Das andere Problem sind mechanische Schalter, die trocken verbaut wurden. Das macht sie empfindlich gegenüber Sauerstoff und somit anfällig für Oxidation. Die Kontakte sind zumeist tief schwarz und das führt zu erheblichen Beeinträchtigungen der Leitfähigkeit, die sich unglücklicherweise auch nochunterschiedlich auf Frequenzen und Pegel, somit Dynamik auswirkt. Gerade der MC-Bereich für Plattenspieler ist mit seinen gerade einmal 160µV Eingangspegel betroffen aber auch MM mit 2,5mV sieht nicht viel besser aus. Bei diesen Spannungen und Strömen wirken sich solche Übergangswiderstände verehrend aus. Und selbst beim CD-Eingang mit 150mV wirkt sich das hörbar aus. Daher müssen die Schalter gereinigt werden. Hierzu kann man sie öffnen und mechanisch reinigen oder, wie ich es mache, elektrochemisch (Reduktion) in Kombination mit einem Ultraschall. Alle „Mittelchen“ zum Sprühen sind nicht nachhaltig wirksam und verursachen im ungünstigen Fall eher Schäden. Manche „Mittelchen“ verharzen und behindern dann die feine Schaltmechanik. Also eine große Bitte: lassen Sie diese „Mittelchen“ weg. Egal was man Ihne verspricht, sie bewirken nichts Gutes! Und natürlich haben wir auch hier die Schäden der Zeit durch wärmebelastete Teile. So werden die Halbleiter der Spannungsversorgungsschaltung recht warm. Durch das ständige Ausdehnen und Zusammenziehen des Lots an den Beinchen der Stabis z.B., wobei Lot und Beinchen noch dazu unterschiedliche Ausdehnungskoeffizienten haben, entstehen Schäden an den Verbindungen. Der dadurch erhöhte Übergangswiderstand und der verringerte Kontaktquerschnitt verschlimmern das Problem immer weiter durch zusätzliche Wärmeentwicklung. Diese Schäden sieht man meist sehr deutlich, andere, sehr viel feinere Schäden an kleineren Bauteilen nur dann, wenn die Platine gründlich gereinigt wurde. Und manchmal hat auch das Bauteil selbst einen so massiven Schaden davongetragen, dass es ersetzt werden muss. Wenn ein Bauteil, das eigentlich grün ist sich nun schwarz zeigt, erübrigen sich Messungen. Ein solches Gerät macht nur dann wieder wirklich Spaß, wenn es gründlich aufgearbeitet wurde. Wie alle Geräte muss daher auch dieses vollständig zerlegt und alle Komponenten gereinigt werden. Und damit auch die Haptik wieder stimmt und auch das Schalten wieder einen Eindruck von der Qualität des Geräts vermittelt, braucht es an den richtigen Stellen ein bisschen spezielles Öl oder Fett. Und vor allem müssen die Kontakte, nun sauber, vor erneuter Oxidation geschützt werden. Dazu bekommen die Kontakte ein Spezialöl, das sich schützend auf die Kontakte legt, die Leitfähigkeit nicht beeinträchtigt, aber dem Sauerstoff den Zugang verwehrt. So bleiben sie für sehr lange Zeit blank und könne ihre Arbeit tun. Und last, but not least: Wärme verursacht auch Schäden an der Isolation der Geräte. Wenn aus Kunststoff der Weichmacher verflogen ist, kann er zu bröseln beginnen. Da die Geräte Schutzisoliert sind (Schutzklasse II), darf kein Schutzleiter eingeführt oder angeschlossen werden. Die Fehlerstrom-Schutzeinrichtung (FI) kann hier also nicht helfen. Die Isolation der Netzspannung führenden Teile muss so gestaltet sein, dass ein Kontakt zum Gehäuse völlig ausgeschlossen ist.
