Stax headphones are consistently rated as high-level headphones within the price range of the various models Stax produces. The headphones are Electrostatic in design, which offer superior results and reduced weight compared to other manufacturers who use different technology. Many reviews are available on Youtube. This listing is only for one of the models for the Stax energizer required, with only the power cable included. NO HEADPHONES ARE INCLUDED IN THIS LISTING. I will be listing headphones separately. All Stax headphones require a Stax energizer (or 100% compatible). This is a very dependable model and was the flagship model for many years. This model has inputs on the front for (1) set of Pro Stax Headphones (5-pin), which are the higher end of their headphones and (1) set of the Normal Stax headphones, which have 6-pin cables. I have used this unit for several Stax models, including the SR-L700Mk2 and the SR-404 Professional. The volume control knob actually controls the volume for the left and right channels separately so that the user can adjust the levels to achieve the proper balance for the left and right headphones. With careful handling and proper usage, this unit should last for years. Note that this Stax SRM-1/Mk2 is an earlier later model of the SRM-1/Mk2 PP, with basically the same specifications and dimensions except that the SRM-1/Mk2 PP had inputs for (2) Pro sets of headphones and (0) sets of Normal headphones. I have consistently used Stax energizers and headphones using a standard stereo amplifier (or receiver) with turntables. The buyer should be familiar with the installation of the energizer but I will provide a diagram of how I have configured my system as a guide. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have. This unit has been thoroughly tested by me for approximately 10 hours. This unit was manufactured and sold for the Japan market 100 watts. YOU SHOULD USE A VOLTAGE CONVERTER.
