I bought this pre amp about ten years ago to use temporarily in my mancave while my CA-3000 pre amp was being restored, but I liked this CA-F1 pre amp enough that I kept it even after my other amp returned from the tech. So I then used this CA-F1 in my den along with a Sansui BA-3000 power amp driving Sony tower speakers They sound great together. I retired last year and moved to The Land of Enchantment, to a smaller home and therefore dont have the space anymore for all the hifi equipment Ive accumulated over the years. This preamp is very heavy for a preamp. It sounds great and is the perfect match for Sansui power amps from the 1970s and 80s like the BA-F1, BA-2000, BA-3000, etc. The green power light works when the amp powers up, all switches and controls work as they should with no extraneous noise. I cleaned all switches and pots and controls with Deoxit a couple years ago and it has never given me any problems.
