National Panasonic SG-1070L Music centre Record Tape Radio Radio works with a great analogue sound. Radio band rotary selector is a bit stiff, suspect a clean required to loosen its movement. Record deck works with a caveat. The turntable is driven by a rubber edged wheel which is driven by a brass pin. During storage a small compression indent developed on the rubber wheel where it sat against the brass pin. When playing there is a small sound as it rotates past the depression. When starting to play if the wheel exactly lines up with the depression then it needs a nudge to start. I expect a repair to the rubber edge of the wheel should restore proper operation, perhaps a tiny amount of filler to restore the circular shape of the wheel at that point. See photos. The tape doesnt work. Forward and reverse turns sprockets as does play when empty but no sound with tape and playing looks slow. Cause unknown but if using rubber drive belts then Id expect theyd need replacing and the lack of sufficient drive due to slack bands could explain failure to play a tape. Speakers sound good, maybe a loose connection in one of the connectors as volume fluctuated when repositioned. Single owner since new.
