This unit will play pretty much any disc you put in the tray; Blu-ray, DVD Video and Audio, SACD, CD, etc. It will even decode DTS discs.The great part about this player is that it not only has an HDMI connection, but it has analog video and audio outputs so you can connect it to a vintage stereo or quadraphonic audio system for spectacular sound. This was one of OPPOs earliest models and is definitely a workhorse. Theres almost nothing it wont play. Original price of this was $499 when it was released in 2009. I have owned this one for 3 years, bought it used and its been very reliable. (One hint: The manufacturer says that this model can sometimes have issues opening the disc tray. To prevent this, it is recommended that you never close the tray without a disc in it. I will ship it with a dummy disc in the tray.) The unit includes the working original remote, power cord and original HDMI cord. Im including a WiFi dongle (although you really dont need it since there are no longer updates available for this model.) There are two USB ports (one front, one rear) allowing for playback of media stored on a flash drive or other source. Although OPPO has gone out of the Blu-ray player business, their models are still sought after because of just how great they are. Plus, the company is still in business so you can ship it to them and have it repaired if it should ever breakdown.
