NAD Stereo Cassette Deck 6140 I havent connected to an amp for sound but the tape deck goes round and lights up.One of the feet has come off but it is with it. NAD 614 Cassette Deck. Play Trim, Dolby B and C and HX Pro. One of the last decks made by NAD, from 1999 that records and plays in in very good fidelity, complimented by the unique and classic NAD design. Made in an era when cassette manufacture had really reached its peak as all the main brands worked frantically to compete with the then new CD format. Some decks from this era really do sound outstanding. A great deck if you’re wanting to get into the cassette revival and appreciate the enjoyment of a good and well set up deck. Simple to use controls and auto tape type selection. Dolby B & C selection available. Features HX Pro which automatically makes adjustments to frequencies when recording. A trim facility is also specified to make minor adjustments to the high frequencies on playback. All the decks I have for sale are fully re-conditioned back to as close as possible to manufactures specifications. This deck has benefited from a full service and recommissioning including; new genuine Nad belts (x 2) and and re-furnished pinch roller. Mechanism stripped and cleaned and lubricated with Molykote EM 30 L. Heads and capstan fully cleaned. Azimuth and speed checked and adjusted. Output, eq and record levels calibrated. Heads demagnetised. Works perfectly with very low hours. Cosmetically this unit has some marks to the front. The deck had been stored for many years in its original packaging and some of the polystyrene had become stuck to the face plate. Had the unit been stored in its original plastic bag then the deck would of been almost like new old stock. The plinth is in almost unmarked condition. Please inspect the photos carefully for details. Unit, original box and packaging, original user manual, service record and power lead only. Will be packaged with care and sent ParcelForce 48 tracked.
