For sale here are two Bang & Olufsen turntables. Beogram 2400 Type 5716 and a Beogram 3404 .T5747. See tags for all specs. Both are 45 33 machines. First unit had no cart. Seems to run ok. Switches on these are a little odd. I did not try the cart in this one. Second one was supposedly serviced by a professional and had a new cart MMC 20EN with stylus. When previous owner got it home it would not run. I bought it from him about a year ago and today when I checked it out it started up but at very high speed. After working with it for a while I got it to play a record and it sounded great but a slight movement sent it off again at high speed so it will need service by someone familiar with them. Both have fairly decent dust covers but both plinths need veneer work. Tho older one is missing some venner entirely. Good projects, the cart and stylus are worth over 200. B & O / Bang & Olufsen Headshell For The MMC 20EN & 20CL Cartridge This listing is for one used Bang & Olufsen headshell. The headshell was “checked” with an Ohmmeter for conductivity – both channels are in working condition. The headshell allows the Bang & Olufsen MMC 20EN & 20CL cartridges (& maybe others) to be used on other makes of turntables that have the “standard” Bayonet style headshell connector. It is in excellent condition. Since the headshell was “checked” with an Ohmmeter there are NO returns or refunds. This item will require an adults’ signature for delivery. The shown mailing cost includes full insurance & a delivery signature. All of the cartridge/stylus combinations I sell are sold AS IS - in working condition. I do not offer ANY type of refund, exchange, or return on these cartridge/stylus combinations. If you have an issue with sibilance, it probably means that the cartridge/stylus is not a good match for your tonearm. Not that there is anything defective with this cartridge or stylus. Note: The cantilever (the thin silver tube which the stylus tip is mounted to) is the fragile part of the stylus assembly. The stylus needs to be handled carefully. If the buyer breaks or bends the cantilever when un-packaging, inserting the stylus assembly into the cartridge, or handling the cartridge once the stylus is mounted, I will not be held responsible. This includes while mounting the cartridge to your headshell. It is best to mount your cartridge somewhat loosely first. Then install the stylus. Once the stylus is mounted into the cartridge, adjust the cartridge for the correct overhang for your particular turntable. If you are unfamiliar or inexperienced with installing, mounting, & adjusting cartridges/styli, please have an experienced professional do the installation for you.
