Offered for your consideration is one (1) Mirage 1 inch soft dome tweeter used in their AVS 200 surround and AVS 100 center channel speakers, manufactured in Canada c.2005. This high frequency driver may have been used in other Mirage (and possibly Energy) speakers but you are responsible for making that assessment. So, please see my large photos and the measurements I’ve taken to decide if this capable tweeter is correct for your speaker. *Although the listing is written in singular to avoid any confusion, two (2) identical Mirage AVS-series tweeters are available for purchase at time of this revision. This tweeter is in clean, excellent condition. The hard plastic faceplate is in perfect shape with no scratches or cracks. Plus, the radiating surface is dimple-free flawless having been well-protected in the sunken recess. Lastly, the +/- terminals are keyed for polarity (larger red spade is pos.) and the spades have never been soldered. Overall, this Mirage AVS tweeter looks practically new! I tested it recently and the sound is perfect—clear, detailed, and sparkly highs with its 20kHz upper frequency limit. Plus, I tested its DC resistance at 6.5-6.6?, right in line with a nominal 8 ohm driver rating. And, it measures 2¾” at its widest x 2” high, stands about ¾” tall, and the mount holes are spaced 2?” long way / 1?” short way / 2 9/16” on the diagonal apart, c-t-c. If you have a blown or damaged tweeter in your Mirage AVS 200 satellite, 100 center channel, or other suitable model, you’ve found the right listing—your speaker will be sounding its best again in no time!
