Sony Sports Walkman Cassette Player RadioWM-F45 w/MDR-W15 Headphones - WORKS! This is a working vintage Sony Sports Walkman cassette player, model WM-F45 in classic yellow and black! It features an AM/FM radio with analog tuning, and a matching set of lightweight yellow Sony MDR-W15 in-ear headphones. Cosmetically pretty good with light rubs, wear, scratches, color fading, etc. The original belt clip is present. New CORRECT belts (from FixYourAudio) installed. Cassette deck plays well and it sounds good. Playback head, pinch roller, and capstan have all been cleaned with isopropyl alcohol. All buttons seem to work and radio works well, too! The battery door cover is present and the battery compartment is clean. Headphones work well, with light use and age wear. Please check photos closely as they are an important part of the description. Overall appearance is beautiful: Has 90%+ of original color and sheen, with no cracks that Im aware of, except as noted below. Was used as a radio, so cassette mechanism looks unused. But I replaced the two rubber belts anyway. Did not have a cassette tape handy for testing purposes, but appeared to work as expected. Radio works fine. New clock battery installed, but LCD has dim/faded appearance (polarizing filter has faded) Tuning knob broke off as I was prepping the unit for sale. Tried mending with plastic model cement, with no success. Didnt attempt other fixes. Battery leakage has discolored the battery contacts a little bit, but the leakage didnt go far. Have cleaned away old battery residue. Battery cover is included. MDR-W15 headphones are in good working order.
