The original CD63 went head to head with the Philips CD 101 as the best player of their time, the CD63 uses the same transport as the CD 101, but the rest in this reiteration is streets ahead of both models, the chassis was made in japan and the then the assembly was done in the UK. Marantz CD63 mk.II KI Signature Has issues, it does play. Sometimes it can take it a minute to realise there is a CD in there. When it does play, it doesnt like anything with scratches Also the eject button can be unresponsive. It does have the remote control so it you can eject using that. Unusually complete with original remote, certificate of authenticity and instruction manual, this is a truly classic bit of kit which needs no introduction. I am only letting it go due to having switched to streaming and its far too good to be sitting around doing nothing! I am aware that these often go north of £200 when the remote and certificate are present, and there are two reasons my asking price is quite a bit lower: In the time that I have had the player, there has been the odd occasion it has failed to a read a disc on the first attempt. This has always been remedied by switching it off and on again once - there is no disc Ive fed it that it has failed to read on the second attempt. I do not have the original box. I would prefer that the buyer collects as this provides the opportunity to give the player the once over (and have a listen if desired) before completing, but I can post with relevant insurance cover if necessary.
