This is the sale of a Linn Kaber Aktiv Crossover for Linn Kaber Aktiv Loudspeakers Only. This is a UK sale only and because the unit is expensive and collectable it will be sent fully insuredso that is why the delivery charge is as high as it is. This unit is being sold as working when disconnected, so please be aware of that. In very good condition except for some minor scratches and blemishes. Please view and zoom onto photos highlighting this. It is assumed you will have the knowledge on how to connect this unit together with any Linn Amps and I hold no responsibility for damage caused by connecting these wrongly. The connections are clearly marked on the back of the unit. This sale is for the Linn Kaber Aktiv Crossover. It is the earlier model with the resistors pack to tailor the sound to your room, the resistor pack is included, if you do not know how to use these then I suggest you use the settings already installed in the system, then get the help of a Linn Dealer if required. This sale is only for the Linn Kaber Active Crossover there are no interconnects and no power cable included in the sale, however these are easily obtained, it is a standard IEC power socket and a three sets of Linn Black interconnects will be all that is required. The serial number for the Linn Unit can be seen in the pictures, I understand this was made around 1990, the Linn Forum may help to clarify any questions you may have. In the pictures of the internals of the unit you can see the type of transformer used, it is the regular transformer type, not the latest Dynamik or SMPS type.You can see on the circuit board where the resistors have been fitted for its current sound setting. If you have any electrical background then you will be able to use extra resistors to tailor the sound to your room and Kaber Loudspeakers. I have tried to show as many pictures as will show what is being sold and have also tried to describe the item as well as I can. The unit was working when disconnected from its active system. I am assuming that whoever buys this will have the knowledge on how to connect up an active system using this unit, if in doubt contact Linn, the Linn Forum or a dealer who can give you advice, albeit maybe at a charge, but I strongly recommend that you know how to connect this unit to amps for Kaber active speakers, you have been warned. I hold no responsibility for damage caused by these being connected wrongly, the connection markings are clearly shown on the back of the Linn Kaber Aktiv Crossover. This unit sits between the pre amp the power amplifiers, by splitting the bass, midrange and treble in the Linn Aktiv Crossover allowing you to use the three power amplifiers to directly drive the Linn Kaber Loudspeakers thus the speakers do not require crossovers in them, this is what the Linn Aktiv Crossover does.
