A clean, original and great sounding pair of these classic monitors, these dating from circa 1977 as per the sequential serial nos. of 64519/64520 and date codes on the drivers. Bass/mid woofers are the 8 bextrene B&W DM200/4 with excellent surrounds, the tweeters doing the work are Celestion HF1300 (also with 1977 code), plus the Coles 4001 Super Tweeters for handling frequencies only audible to dogs and those significantly younger than me. All work well, crossovers as far as I can tell are original, there may be some benefit to a recap but they are sounding really good anyway. The cabinets have a few marks to be expected of the age but the only notable knock is pictured (to the left hand side of 64520) and not really obtrusive unless looking directly at it. The chocolate brown grilles are pretty much perfect-the photos make them look much blacker than they are. These are large and heavy units, hence the shipping cost, but they will be carefully packed for safe shipping-collection in person is preferred if possible.

Arcam ONE Monitor loudspeakers. Fully working. These are the original version (which have the active Xover connections on the rear for possible use with Arcam’s active system set up.) Not to be confused with the later / cheaper Arcam One (or One Plus speaker variant). Super rare, very heavy and well constructed these are in excellent condition for a mid 80’s loudspeaker. Few small holes on the underside (where they have been screwed to stands in the past). Few barely noticeable scratches and marks on the veneer from general use. Intended as a studio monitor type speaker. Sound is of a high calibre. Reviews at the time were very favourable when comparing them with other current studio monitor models. Previous owner has swapped out the original bass / mid units for Bowers & Wilkins DM4 units. Treble units are original. All function perfectly and they give a clear, accurate, powerful sound. Collection prefered from WR6. West Midlands. (You will be able to hear them working). I can post them but it will be expensive and possibly in two parcels. (They are very heavy!) B&W Bowers Wilkins Super HF Tweeter And normal tweeter pair, DM2 DM3 DM4 Coles. Have been tested and are working. Pulled out of a pair of dm2a speakers. So both pairs are matched. See pictures for the exact cosmetic condition of the tweeters.

Both speakers are fully working and sound absolutely great! Please inspect the photos. They have some scratches here and there and it looks that one woofer was replaced. One speaker is a bit more yellowish than another. Please ask if you want to see anything in details. I will try to make more close-up photos upon request. These speakers are from the times when John Bowers and his team builded their name. The sound from DM4 speakers were outlined back in 1973 as “the nearest to truth than most other versions”. You can find many informed opinions on DM4 if you google. The value of DM4 increases over the times so you will never loose your money on this investment.
