The serial number plate, located on the rear of the cabinet, is position at the end which the high frequency loudspeaker is mounted so as to identify the relative position of this component when acoustically balancing a pair of units. Each unit contains a hand-made 13 1/2 x 8 1/8 inch specially designed elliptical driver having an aluminum center cone and plastic suspension and is identical to the combines with a pair of 3 1/2 inch high-frequency loudspeakers to produce a substantially flat response over the normal audio range. The blending of the frequency response from each of the two types of loudspeaker employed is achieved by means of a carefully designed capacitive/inductive crossover unit which operates at a frequency of 4500 cps. It is mounted inside the cabinet.
