Up for sale is a rare Sony PS-B80 Biotracer Turntable that has been serviced and is in good working condition. Up for sale is the vintage Sony PS-X555ES Direct Drive Biotracer Quartz Linear Turntable. It is in good working condition and includes the Audio Technica ATN-120Ea cartridge and the 45 rpm adapter. The included headshell is NOT ORIGINAL. Dust cover is damaged and requires repair. Cosmetically in very good condition with a mostly clean plinth. There is a scratch on the right side above the front foot (pic #9) . Also, there is some white dots on the plinth above the space between START/STOP and right transport buttons (Pcs #2 and #7). The two plastic slots on the dust cover that the metal tabs slip into are broken (Pics #13-15), rendering the dust cover incapable of staying open and will require repair. Please refer to the pictures for all the cosmetic details. Functionally, the turntable is working properly. It is able to discern between 7 and 12 in records and move the tonearm accordingly to the correct starting location. The tonearm belt has been replaced and the track lubricated to ensure the tonearm moves smoothly. both 33 and 45 rpm records were tested and confirmed to play at proper speed (also checked with a strobe disc). Sound output is good from both channels although age of the stylus is unknown. The turntable will be packed in fitted foam with the platter removed and tonearm secured and shipped via FedEx ground. SONY PS-X555ES Biotracer Linear tracking Turntable with denon DL-110 H/O MC See pictures for the exact cosmetic condition of the recordplayer. The only recordplayer ever with the ES label and one of the best turntables sony ever made. With the original headshell. The front corners are slightly damaged (see pictures). This damage is purely cosmetic. The included cartridge is a denon dl-110 high output mc cartridge which on its own is already hard to find. I do not know the condition of this cartridge but it does sound great. The dustcover had some scratching. The hinges are developing some cracks on the underside (as is standard with both the ps-x555 and ps-x800). While currently not a large issue it would be advised to treat the hinges so they can last a little while longer. The light size sensor is still working. All other functions are also tested and fully functional.

Completely original including the power cord. It comes with a Pioneer 5 MC Cartridge. No owner’s manual and no 45 r p m record adaptor. Aside from that it is complete. It was stored in dusty barn for the last 3 years. Somewhat protected. I’m sure it will need capacitors and refurbishing. It will cost from $300 to $400 to refurbish. But you will have a high end quality audiophile turntable you will enjoy very much. I have a friend who has one just like this one. And it is a very quiet and clean sounding turntable. I included a photo of a Pioneer 5 MC cartridge that is for sale on a website so you can see the value of it. That is quite a bonus. The value after it is refurbished, it is approximately $1,500 in my opinion. Being Sold As-Is . Remember it does not power on. It has a few scuffs, scratches and tiny ding or two. It was stored in dusty barn for the last 3 years. Somewhat protected. I’m sure it will need capacitors and refurbishing. It will cost from $300 to $400 to refurbish. But you will have a high end quality audiophile turntable you will enjoy very much. I have a friend who has one just like this one. And it is a very quiet and clean sounding turntable. I included a photo of a Pioneer 5 MC cartridge that is for sale on a website so you can see the value of it. That is quite a bonus.
