Bang & Olufsen B&O SP14 Cartridge w/ Stylus Tested Excellent B&O SP14 cartridge in excellent condition, with an original stylus in excellent condition. Under high magnification, there are no visible signs of wear. I mounted it on my vintage Beogram 3000 5231, tested it with computer diagnostics, and gave it a critical ear. It tracks like it is supposed to, tests out fine, and it sounds great. This item is just the cartridge and stylus. No headshell, no wires, no tonearm, no turntable is included. Comes with newly fitted genuine B&O SP14 stylus (the replaced stylus is also included in the blister pack, may be useful Original B&O thick smoked acrylic dust cover which has no chips or cracks. Beautiful teak wood plinth and speaker cases. All made in Denmark Speakers have attached cables & plugs. The turntable has speaker inputs as well as two 5 pin inputs for other devices (radio, tape deck etc)All working - you can play 33rpm and 45rpm records (plus other devices) and speakers work wellThe speed selector on the turntable is very temperamental (a bit like cracking a safe!) but once you have the hang of it you can quickly change the speed. The lid is free of cracks and chips. Powered-up, the deck spins on all speeds correctly. The stylus is worn - sound reproduction is poor due to this - it has an SP14 B&O stylus head fitted and this will need to be re-tipped (much cheaper than a whole stylus unit). This item will need a good clean and a service if you intend to use it. The tonearm and tracking weight etc will need to be adjusted. Although this is essentially a working item, because it needs a clean, service, new stylus tip and possibly a belt, it is sold as spares or repair - you will need skill and possibly parts if you intend to use it. BANG & OLUFSEN B&O SP14 STYLUS Found in a box of accessories & spares from my Grandfathers Beogram 1203. I assume it is a used item but unfortunately I no longer have the record player so Im unable to test it. Please note this is a stylus head only not a complete cartridge.
