They corrected performance issues and brought it back to a solid performer which delivers a warm reliable sound for me to enjoy. I have two SE-40s running in a dual mono configuration. Due to my age and retirement schedule, its time to scale back. I’m cutting back to one in a smaller system. Since Rainbow Electronics did repairs, I’ve had no problems for the 20+ years of ownership. Usage has been light, and as mentioned, I used as part of a dual mono setup. I’ve switched this unit back to stereo mode and it will be shipped as such. Additionally, the feedback jumper to open. I recently re-biased the tubes and will do this again taking pictures which Ill make available on request. Solo Electronics were known for their great iron and as such, this is a great foundation for those that may want to modify or tweak in their own direction.
