Das Akai GX 912 ist heute vielleicht eines der am wenigsten anerkannten Kassettendecks im professionellen Audiobereich. Schuld msste die Werbeabteilung und die Hndler von Akai sein, denn an Klangqualitt, Robustheit und Features mangelt es dem Gert nicht. Das GX912 ist ein Kassettendeck mit drei Kpfen, das eine sichere berwachung whrend der Aufnahme ermglicht. Beim Einlegen einer Kassette zur Aufnahme stellt sich das Gert automatisch auf die Bandeigenschaften ein, indem es einen kurzen Burst auf Band aufzeichnet. Die Einmessung dauert 2 Sekunden, der schnellste Einmesscomputer Weltweit. Fr diejenigen, die mit der automatischen Ausrichtung nicht zufrieden sind, steht eine manuelle Vorspannungssteuerung zur Verfgung. Der GX912 verfgt standardmig ber vollstndige Logiksteuerungen, einschlielich Vorwrts- und Rckwrtsprogrammsuche. Die fluoreszierenden Messgerte dienen der Spitzenwertspeicherung, knnen aber auch die niedrige und hohe Bias-Reaktion auf Knopfdruck berwachen. Der Bandzhler kann die tatschliche Zeit, die verbleibende Zeit sowie den standardmigen willkrlichen Zhler anzeigen. Die Rauschunterdrckung ist whlbar in Dolby B oder C. Zu den weiteren durchdachten Funktionen gehren doppelte Cinch-Buchsen an der Vorderseite und auf der Rckseite des Gertes fr Ein- und Ausgang sowie eine Kopfhrerbuchse mit Lautstrkeregelung. Ich habe viele professionelle Kassettendecks verwendet, darunter auch die besten von Tascam, und habe noch nie etwas gefunden, das so solide ist wie das GX912. Wow und Flattern gibt es praktisch nicht und das Grundrauschen ist extrem niedrig. Wenn DAT oder eine CD nicht praktisch genug sind, ist das GX912 genau das Richtige fr Sie. Das Gert wurde regelmssig gewartet und die Riemen sind ca. 1 Jahr alt. Die Kpfe sind einwandfrei und zwischen Vor und Hinterband keinerlei Unterschied. Leichte Schramme auf dem Vorderrahmen, siehe Fotos. Die Fsse stammen von mir, da es als eigendliches Rack Gert keine Fsse besitzt. Sind aber nur geklebt und knnen rckstandslos entfernt werden.
