This remote adapter plugs into the back of the Studer A725, Revox B126/B225/B226 CD player and allows it to be controlled from any universal remote programmed for Sony DVD. You may be saying to yourself, but, these CD players have a built-in IR receiver and can be controlled by the Revox B201, B201CD or B205 remotes. The problem Im trying to solve is the genuine Revox remote is hard to find, expensive and well just plain ugly and hard to use (for all functions other than Play/Next and Power Off you need to hold the * button down, stupid!). Another problem is the Revox remotes uses a very old IR protocol which isnt supported by pre-programmed remotes and cant be learned by learning by remotes like the Logitech Harmony or Philips Pronto.
