(both stereo and quadrophonic compatible) The SME has had an Fixed ADC magensium cartridge professionally fitted (a notaeble mod at the time) The original headshell is suppied along with the original SME box. It works beautifully, with no issues, the motor has no knocking, from a pet and smoke free home. Original box for turntable included. (top poly missing) Apart from a few light marks on the lid, it has little else in the way of cosmetic imperfections. A beautiful and formidably good turntable, the top of the 160 line.. New belt fitted a couple of years ago. This is a superb example. Offered is a Beautiful Thorens TD 160 Super. It features a Grace 707 tone arm original dust cover and a powder coated table. This piece has been well care for throughout its life. Two very minor cosmetic imperfections to mention. A small scratch near the zero just below the speed selector and a small mark on the left wood plinth that could possibly buff out. Thorens TD160. Started as a Thorens TD160B but now has been upgraded to TD160 Super +++!! Included in this auction: - Upgraded Thorens TD160- Origin Live motor and control- SME 3009 Improved tonearm with fixed headshell- Ortofon 2M black cartridge- Misc. accessories and instruction booklets (see pictures) The Turntable: Thorens TD160B highly modified and dampened for better sound. American Walnut plinth with heavy base and adjustable feet. Custom dust cover that sits on top of plinth. SME 3009 Improved fixed headshell tonearm. Origin Live motor upgrade and controller. Ortofon 2M black is included but will ship unmounted. Accessories include SME tonearm setup protractors, SME tonearm instructions, Thorens TD160 instruction booklet, Origin Live upgrade instructions, platter oil, cork placemat, Thorens spring sponges.
