Yamaha YP-511 Direct Drive Record Player Turntable Description Description of item YAMAHA record player YP-511. This is a direct drive manual player. The thin and neat design typical of YAMAHA is attractive. The cartridge is YAMAHAs MM cartridge CG-5500 (the shell is also a YAMAHA aluminum shell, the needle is used). How to operate: Select the rotation speed using the lever on the back right side. When you turn on the lever on the front, the platter will start rotating, so manually move the arm and drop the needle. When you play to the end, the platter does not stop automatically, so manually raise the arm and return it to the armrest, then turn the lever in front of you to the OFF position to stop the platter from rotating. Exterior/The cabinet has some light scratches on the top and bottom of the right side, but nothing serious and is in good condition. Also, the surface is clean because it has been coated with wax and polished. The platter is generally in good condition with few stains and scratches. The turntable sheet also has some light stains, but is flexible and in good condition. There are no missing buttons or knobs. There are some paint damage on the black base plate where the knob is fixed. There is some damage to the surface of the metal parts at the base of the arm, but overall it is in good condition. There is no damage to the power cable, RCA pin cable, or ground cable. I removed the scratches on the dust cover with plastic cleaner before putting it up for sale, but there are some minor scratches that cannot be removed. I think it gives a good impression because it has a sense of transparency. The cartridge has some light dirt on the body. The cantilever does not bend and the needle tip is also good. Operation/I was able to play well at both 33 and 45 rpm with the included cartridge. The arm was able to smoothly adjust the weight, inside force canceller, and arm height (fixed with two set screws). The platter rotated stably at both 33 and 45 rotations, allowing strobe display and pitch adjustment. Accessories include the player body (including dust cover) and cartridge (including shell).
