Exceptional condition. Owned from New. I was tempted to describe as mint but naturally after a few years of use the remote picks up a couple of very minor surface marks to the front flap. The unit itself however I would describe as MINT - casing, front LED display and controls all blemish free and all in full working order. Even the high gloss piano finish walnut sides are unmarked. A stunning example of this legendary amplifier and doubt there will be another in this condition. I need the space otherwise would not be selling! Fantastic sound. Owned from new and kept in dedicated room (no kids allowed!) also from a pet and smoke free home. The only minor thing to mention and with 99% of all these, they can lose a few pixels from the LED matrix display. This one as far as I can see is only 3 down, but almost unnoticeable as most words fit in between the affected pixels (see photos). This unit is heavy, as with all good AV contains a toroidal power supply not a cheaper switching one, which means it has some serious heft to it. I dont have the original box so would much rather it be collected as I would hate to see it damaged in transit. Pick up would be from WS12.

This listing is for a used Yamaha DSP-A1 flagship AV amp with fused UK plug from the late 1990s. Ive had this since new and its come through a few house moves since then so a couple of scratches on the left side wood panel and a few tiny marks here and there. This was a really fantastic sounding amp at the time (even today) and I only upgraded to get higher definition sound when that came along and its been sat in the garage since where Id intended to use it but then kids came along and its been sat looking sad. It comes with the original remote which I never really used as I had a Philips Pronto. Its in great condition and was stored with no batteries so no leaking battery acid damage. Its got plenty of inputs and sounds amazing with DD 5.1 or DTS, and also performed really well for music. Example review from back in the day here: https://www.jackvandijk.nl/hifi_review.php?Id=128 The bad things Id list as: A couple of small scratches to the left wood panel The knob around the volume control came loose years ago but never affected it - I didnt hot glue it back on as there was a motor for the volume dial which turns it as you increase or decrease volume A couple of pixels on the display were dimmed last time I used it No user manual Some small marks to the top where another piece of equipment was sat on top before I got a proper HiFi stand Please note the couplers for the front channels are not connected - this was because Id read a tip years ago recommending to replace with good quality RCA cables which I did, but Ive lost the two couplers along the way so this means youll need two more high quality RCA cables to connect the 2 Pre Outs in the Coupler section to the matching colour Main in ports. With this amp its something Id recommend anyway as it was an upgrade back in the day. Its a very heavy device and I have no packaging so collection only on this one Im afraid from near Ilkley Moor, West Yorkshire
