This XDR-F1HD works perfectly and should last a long time with the included modifications. There are some minor cosmetic scuffs and scrapes as seen in the photos. Internally, the circuit boards are in excellent condition showing no heat damage. This sale includes a working OEM Sony RMT-CF1A remote control. This tuner has the following custom modifications: Two internal cooling fans correct the overheating problems common to these receivers. The forced-analog mode toggle switch allows overriding the reception of weak HD-radio signals and forcing analog reception - When the switch is in up position it receives HD-radio normally but when switched down it runs in analog-only mode. The 7.5 Farad Super Capacitor provides backup power for at least 24 hours to preserve station presets and clock time in case of power outage or unplugging the receiver. The upgraded display backlight is easy to read in any of the three brightness settings. The silicone half-sphere feet provide for better airflow though the bottom vents and a unique appearance (the original factory rubber feet are intact if the silicone feet are removed).

This is a Sony XDR-F1HD tuner. It picks up AM and FM, and the “HD Radio” stations, and connects to one of the line inputs on your stereo amp. It’s in very good, like new condition with no scratches, cracks, etc. All functions work as specified. The LCD display lights up brightly. The remote control is included and works. It is a very sensitive, good sounding tuner. It comes in the original box with the tuner, remote, AM antenna, and FM antenna. Photos are of the actual tuner, connected to an antenna and in operation. (Note: For those interested in modifications, the tuner has no heat damage or scorching. It has been lightly used.) This will be carefully packed in a second box, with plenty of packing material to immobilize the contents and ensure it gets there in great condition.
