Vintage TECHNICS SL-DL1 1982 - Direct Drive Automatic Linear Tracking TurntableOne of my favorite turntables because it’s different and plays so good. Solid and robust with the usual Technics superb build and sound quality, but sleek, stylish, and simple to operate. In auto mode the micro-computer and optical sensor detects the record size, selects the correct speed and cues the tone arm to the start of the disc. The tone arm returns to the start automatically after play and there is also a useful repeat function. The tonearm does not move if there is no record on the platter. All very smooth quiet and precise. You can make manual adjustments for non-standard records using the controls on the plinth. Cartridge and stylus in good condition. In good working order but may benefit from some minor adjustments to suit the listeners personal preference. Ready to plug and play, must be connected to an amplifier. This turntable works very well and is in very good cosmetic condition for years old, with very minor marks commensurate with use and age. I have lost the user manual over time but they are available on line. Local collection preferred as this is a delicate piece of kit or will package securely and post at buyers risk.
