Ein nahezu tadellos erhaltener, voll funktionstüchtiger und bis dato absolut zuverlässiger Vollautomat aus der legendären Biotracer-Serie von SONY aus den 80ern mit der Seriennr. 502628, lediglich mit leichten Gebrauchsspuren (die üblichen Wischspuren auf der Haube usw.) Gebraucht gekauft im Oktober 2008, ebenfalls bei eBay. Mit ihm habe ich in den letzten Jahren - in Kombination mit der MM-Tonabnehmer-Legende Audio Technica AT 20SLa - absolut zuverlässig meine Vinylsammlung von knapp 2000 Exemplaren digitalisiert.Der Tonabnehmer hat daher wenigstens 2000 Betriebsstunden auf dem Buckel, er wurde von mir im Okt. 2012 ebenfalls bei eBay gebraucht gekauft, hatte aber seinerzeit keine 100 Arbeitsstunden hinter sich. Da ich jedoch die Nadel alle 5 bis 10 Platten/Stunden mit einem Nadelreiniger gepflegt und gesäubert habe (meine Platten habe ich sowieso stets der jeweils angemessenen Reinigungsprozedur mit einer Kohlefaserbürste und - sofern notwendig - mit Nassreiniger usw. unterzogen) und es mir darüber hinaus zur Angewohnheit gemacht habe, den Abtaster nach jeder Reinigung mit einem Miniatur-Uhrmacher-Mikroskop mit 20-facher Vergrößerung zu prüfen, kann festgehalten werden, dass die Nadel nur leichte Abnutzungsspuren aufweist und weiteren 2000 Betriebsstunden prinzipiell nichts im Wege stehen; die Nachgiebigkeit des Nadelträgers ist jedoch etwas groß geworden, was bedeutet, dass größere Unebenheiten/verwellte Platten zum Nadelspringen führen werden. Solcherart defekte Platten sind also problematisch. Ansonsten eine absolut hervorragende Kombination, ungeachtet des fast schon historischen Alters beider Akteure. Bei Auktionsgewinn gebe ich den kleinen Pre-Amp PA-506 der Firma hama gratis mit dazu; damit kann der Plattenspieler problemlos an die Soundkarte jedes PCs und natürlich an jeden Verstärker angeschlossen werden, sofern dort keine Phonostufe zur Verfügung steht.
