Marantz NR1501 Dolby AV Receiver minor fault 7.1 surround sound with a minor fault- see below. No remote. Power lead included. A lovely slimline receiver. Gives great sound and I upgraded only so that I could get something with HDMI-CEC so I can control the volume with my TVs remote. The slight fault is that it takes about 5 minutes to output sound after the power is turned on. If you leave it on then there is no cut out in sound. There is also no cut out at high power or volumes. If you just leave it on you wouldnt notice this at all and the power drawer is very minimal- but were in the habit of having nothing on standby. The fault was stable over the 5 years I had this with no sign of getting any worse. I wonder if replacing the right capacitor would fix this- but Ive not had time to look into it. I always used my phone to control this via a built in IR blaster. Alternatively youd need a universal or replacement remote is probably needed. Please note I will post this by the morning ofSaturday 10th. If youve not paid by then Ill next be able to post it on20th/21st June. Also note its a very heavy item!
