Only absolute hi-fi purists know what is on offer here! This CD player is very rare to find second-hand and will be a good investment. It is the slimmest or smallest portable CD player in the world! Tested January 2024 with classic audio CDs and self-burned MP3 CDs with the rechargeable battery pack (AA batteries) and the original mains adapter. It plays several codecs. Technical details can be researched on the Internet. The drive and the entire mechanism work perfectly. The latest firmware (V.1.81) is installed. Plays all CDs without dropouts, i.e. the laser finds tracks quickly and without cancellations. It has signs of use but is in very good condition. The pictures correspond to the item on offer. Four prismatic cells (2 of which are original batteries) are included. The batteries are not charged and I cannot say how much capacity they still have. But it doesnt matter, because the player can also be powered by standard AA batteries using the external battery pack. A mains adapter can also be connected so that the iMP-550 can also play CDs without batteries. Prismatic cells can still be purchased cheaply and online without any problems.
