Probably best known for their turntables and loudspeakers, AR branched out into electronics for a time. Our example is in fully working condition, with some age related cosmetic marking – please see photographs. Whats it worth? Well let you decide Acoustic Research Said…. Hi-Fi should be for enjoying music in the home, but most equipment looks like it’s been designed for a recording studio – or an aircraft flight deck. Typically, there’s an excess of knobs, and a harsh, “pseudo-technical” appearance which makes no concessions to the home and sits ill at ease there. What a pity it all looks (and sounds) much the same. At AR we say it doesn’t have to. We commissioned one of the worlds leading industrial design houses to produce this outstandingly good looking yet functional equipment. Its bold, unfussy lines will grace any home and blend with any décor. Designed for ease of use, by splitting the controls into groups, we have hidden away those least often used under front panel flaps, leaving only the day-to-day controls to be seen.
