The 4-way tuning mechanism has been adopted for the memory mechanism. It enables one touch random preset tuning that directly calls the desired station from among the 16 stored stations, automatic tuning that automatically finds radio waves and tunes, manual tuning that receives broadcasting stations with weak radio waves, and last channel memory tuning that automatically selects the last station received. For accurate tuning, the PLL comparison frequency is set to 25 kHz, which is out of the audible band. In addition, a static control display is adopted to eliminate beat and noise in the audio band.
